Demonstration Report
Pilot 1 Operational Progress: Wool, Green Manure and Bakery Trials (July 2026)
What tangible production and field-trial progress had Pilot 1 reported by July 2026?
Overview
Demonstration Report
Cumulative progress to July 2026, with an August 2026 qualitative update.
Technical Details
Progress is followed across wool collection and pellet production, agricultural-residue incorporation and bakery-formulation development. The wool work links the collection campaign with operation and optimisation of the processing system. Cultivation work combines repeated field activities with soil and microclimate monitoring, while bakery work examines recipes, nutritional composition and product acceptance.
These activities provide different forms of evidence: operational milestones, experimental observations and feedback from potential users. They are interpreted according to their purpose and stage, so that the implementation of a process remains distinguishable from the measurement of its agricultural, environmental or commercial effects.
Implementation workplan and production targets, with cumulative quantities reported at each progress update.
The first-year wool collection of 100 tonnes was complete; pellet production and field tests were underway, and a second collection cycle had started. Agricultural-residue work had produced and incorporated 20 tonnes of green manure, with 5 tonnes of tomatoes sold. A second cultivation cycle and the first combined faba-bean/tomato protocol were underway or available. Food by-product work had produced 30 kg of enriched dough, with bakery trials and nutritional and acceptance checks in progress. The annual bakery-product target was 100 kg.
Wool-pellet quantities of 50 tonnes per year and 10 tonnes of modified pellets are development targets. Agronomic and environmental outcomes are evaluated through the corresponding trials.
