Overview
Business model
CSSBoost WP6 / Task 6.2
CSSBoost develops business models through a staged process that connects market analysis, value propositions, governance and financial validation. The initial analysis applies a TAM-SAM-SOM structure to distinguish total market potential from the markets that can be served and realistically reached by the regional solutions.
Initial hybrid models consider the central platform and the four regional pilot archetypes. Candidate revenue mechanisms include software subscriptions, transaction-related fees and performance-linked payments. These are strategic business-model options rather than confirmed commercial terms for each project tool. Multi-actor governance is considered alongside the model because implementation involves public, private and non-profit participants.
The current business and financial work establishes assumptions to be tested using pilot operating information. Cost feasibility, pricing and the value proposition are to be refined through bottom-up validation. Financial-analysis and investment-planning activities build on this evidence, while exploitation work considers the ownership, market position and use of project results.
Market & Value Proposition
Circular value-chain coordinators, technology providers, regional authorities, utilities and prospective investors.
Connect customer needs and value propositions with delivery roles, resources, partners, cost structures and revenue assumptions, then test the most consequential assumptions using pilot evidence.
Financial Analysis
Equipment, site preparation, integration and infrastructure costs are estimated for each application scenario.
Define collection, processing, energy, labour, maintenance, quality assurance, data and coordination costs within the same scenario boundary.
Identify product/service income and avoided costs, with explicit payers, contracts, volumes and prices. Avoid double counting between actors.
Assumptions
Business Model Canvas and Value Proposition Canvas methods support the development of models that are refined through maturity assessment, market feedback and pilot validation.
Risks
Unverified demand/pricing, incomplete cost data, feedstock uncertainty, inconsistent benefit allocation, product eligibility and dependence on coordination or incentives.
