TRACK: Public-Transport Operations and Maintenance Data
Pilot 4 tool for organising and displaying CARRIS operational and maintenance data to support fleet monitoring and CSSBoost circularity analysis.
TRACK receives agreed information from CARRIS operational systems and pilot records. The monitoring scope includes distance travelled, energy use and greenhouse-gas-related information, together with maintenance and waste data. Vehicle characteristics and the relevant reporting period provide context for comparisons between diesel, natural-gas and electric buses. Component-recovery records extend the connection between end-of-life vehicles and maintenance of the active fleet.
TRACK brings together CARRIS operations, maintenance and environmental information in pilot dashboards. The first monitoring phase, December 2025 to May 2026, covered five diesel, five compressed-natural-gas and five electric buses. The tool supports operational review and exports agreed data to DAMS. Extensions to the pilot data model are ongoing. TRACK connects CARRIS operational information with the monitoring needs of the Lisbon CSSBoost pilot. The system acquires pilot-related data, presents measurements and indicators through dashboards, and exports relevant information to DAMS for use by the broader CSSBoost platform and services. The monitored pilot fleet comprises 15 buses with different propulsion technologies, including diesel, natural gas and electricity. Daily monitoring covers distance travelled, energy consumption and greenhouse-gas-related information, while maintenance activity and waste are followed at a monthly frequency. Additional work documents the removal and reuse of components from end-of-life vehicles to support buses still in service. TRACK was designed around CARRIS requirements and has been deployed for pilot data collection and display. Integration uses information from CARRIS operational systems, connecting fleet-management data with the pilot's circularity objectives. The dashboards support operational awareness and informed decisions about maintenance, resource use and lifecycle strategies. Comparisons need to account for vehicle characteristics, service conditions and reporting periods so that changes are interpreted in their proper operational context.
Extend recovered-component tracking, refine material-flow records and adapt the pilot data model. Predictive-maintenance and remaining-useful-life functions require further validation.
CARRIS operational records; daily activity information; monthly maintenance and repair reports; relevant energy, emissions and material-flow indicators. Dataset detail and access depend on the pilot data agreements.
Fleet and bus-segment dashboards, energy and operational indicators, maintenance information and agreed datasets for DAMS.
TRACK exports agreed pilot data to DAMS through the project data-acquisition architecture. Dataset access is managed through pilot agreements.
Access to agreed CARRIS datasets and coordination with PARTICLE and the pilot team.
