Overview
Pilot 4: Lisbon, PT (Predictive Maintenance & Vehicles)
Lisbon Metropolitan Area, Portugal
PARTICLE / CARRIS
Preparation
Extension of public bus service life through maintenance, monitoring, waste reduction and operational optimisation.
The Challenge ("As-Is")

CARRIS already extends the lifespan of buses through mid-life maintenance and other circular practices.

However, operational waste remains significant and some useful metrics are not yet systematically collected.

There is also a need to better monitor energy consumption, emissions, replacement parts, consumables and maintenance-related waste across the fleet.

The Solution ("To-Be")

CSSBoost supports a value chain that uses CARRIS operation and maintenance data to reduce energy consumption, greenhouse-gas emissions and waste. A selected set of buses will be monitored, and data will be collected and displayed through TRACK.

CSSBoost tools will be integrated to support analysis, circularity assessment and decision making.
