Technical Details
The exploratory study used 11 questionnaires completed by professionals in the wider Chania area, supported by visits and discussions with nursery and agricultural-product retailers, agronomists and gardeners. Some questions allowed more than one answer. Discussion covered competing products, package sizes, price expectations, possible users and the information needed before adoption. Respondents were considering a product description rather than results from their own use of the pellets. The findings identify questions for further product development and market investigation, with the small professional sample providing qualitative insight rather than a representative estimate of market demand.
Respondents compared the proposed product with established soil-improvement products and existing professional and household-use markets.
The study identifies strong competition in large-pack agricultural applications and possible interest in smaller packs for household gardening. Respondents request demonstrated performance, crop-specific suitability, clear dosage and application instructions, and a defensible price-to-benefit proposition. The findings support further targeted testing and market research.
Findings come from a small local sample of 11 professionals. Limited product and performance information constrains conclusions about wider demand, pricing and potential uses.
