Demonstration Report
Lisbon Pilot Progress: Bus Procurement, Operation and Recovery
What activities and monitored cohort support the Lisbon circular mobility cases?
Overview
Demonstration Report
December 2025-May 2026
Technical Details
The Lisbon pilot is structured around vehicle production and procurement, bus service life, and end-of-life recovery. TRACK acquires and displays operational information and provides an interface to DAMS. The monitored fleet contains five diesel, five compressed-natural-gas and five electric buses.
Daily monitoring covers distance, energy and greenhouse-gas-related information, while monthly monitoring covers maintenance and waste. Component-recovery work connects retiring vehicles with reuse in the active fleet. The combined approach links lifecycle planning with operational observation, retaining the vehicle and period context needed for meaningful comparisons.
Existing fleet operation, procurement and component-recovery practices.
The first execution monitors 15 buses, five each diesel, CNG and electric. TRACK retrieves CARRIS operational data, displays dashboards and exports structured information to DAMS. Other work concerns manufacturer/procurement information and BGR component-recovery process mapping.
Monitoring covers a selected cohort of 15 buses. Component-reuse tracking is developing, and comparisons require consistent duty cycles and lifecycle boundaries.
